Another step back
Kapow!! We had to get a copy of dh's passport page notarized, certified, authenticated. I FORGOT to get it state certified FIRST. First, the post office lost the package and took over a week to deliver it. After another three weeks.... threeee weeks I got the doc back from the Dept of State. There doesn't seem any possible way to get DTC by the 18th. Guess we will have to wait another week. SO frustrating!!

Joanne, How is the copy of the passport page notarized if it is a copy of something and not an original signature? Just wondering. My dossier specialist did not have me get the copy of my passport notarized or authenticated.
ReplyDeleteI guess because he is a naturalized citizen, not born here. You would think the certified/authenticated naturalization document would be enough!! I guess the birth certificate is all that is needed for people born in the U.S. We had to write a statement that it was a true copy of an original (passport) in our possession and have it notarized.
